Todays Plan of action

Every weekend i give myself a insanely long list of things i want to get done, i rarely get everything done coz they are seriously long. 2 weeks ago it had 26 things on it, ranging from blogging, to scrapping, to knitting whole garments, to sewing, i got 9 done that weekend.
Last weekend there was 12, mainly from the week before but i had been a little more realistic this time i got, i got 6 things done lol.
Today I have 7, but one includes do at least 15 scrapbook pages (yeah yeah) and the another is make a quilt.
I showed you my lovely Early Bird fabric before but here is another peak
Pretty huh?
So i want to make it into something even prettier, my previous quilts have literally just been fat quarters chopped up, but today i fancy being a bit more daring.
All these lovely quilts are available to download for free from the Amy Butler sight as well as tons of other stuff.
So they are my plans, I'm going to do my best to avoid the internet today as its a time sucker!
Oh yes i have a cute photo to show you
This is baby Katrin, shes cute, im guessing she is smaller than thought as that little baby grow is a little big lol.
Right im off to have a super productive day, scrapping, sewing and knitting all in the same day lucky me huh!
have a great saturday whatever you are up to xx

Cute

Hi gang, I wanted to share a little something I made last week after I bought this book.

This book is so cute, and a bargain at £8 i think it was from Amazon, and that bag on the front you get everything you need to make it, including Cath Kidston fabric, how much of a bargain is that, so i got to making it the night it arrived. It took about 2 hours from start to finish with lots of mistakes along the way but im chuffed with it.

its cute but it is quite small so i can just get one crochet project in

but what more do you need? Everyone at work has been commenting on it and when i say i made it they are well impressed lol.
So i have a few other pretty photos to show you, look what i found at the bottom of my garden last week

seriously cute flower, my mam will have told me what its called but i forget sweet huh!
Whilst we were off last week (was it only last week) we took a trip to Ikea, now the rule is you cant go without buying a plant, and buying a plant we did

have to say its not quite looking the picture of health now compared to this photo, it didnt appreciate my 3 days away without a drink eeek.
Right thats all for now, i have 2 weekends worth of stuff to unpack and i want to find my desk under all the stuff that is piled on every inch of my craft room eekk.
P.S oh yes did you guys watch Glee last night? wasnt it amazing!

Cushions

So I thought I would stop by and show you what i have been sewing this weekend.
As I have mentioned i got a stack of fabric for the market, and loads of cheap cushions and followed this pattern well i kinda followed it.

So my last cushions i made have flopped the look shocking

so i gave it a little make over, I made this one like a pillow case but the inside flap was too short so it kept coming out so i did it the other way around.

so the flappy bit is on the outside, we actually use our cushions so they get squashed and squished so i think this is the best way for our house.

next i did this one at the front just a simple one colour cushion and its so poofy and lovely.

Next i got a bit experimental, inspired by all the lovely photos of Flickr i figured it wouldnt be too hard, so i chopped loads of strips of fabric and put them together. I got in a little ickle with the flap bit and didnt realise that the front also has the flap on, so i could of done with a few more inches.

so i put this giant button on to pin it down, cute huh, I also just did one colour on the back as it was a bit busy, but i love it.

During all my sewing i didnt really have time to make tea, so i go in the kitchen for a jaffa cake and find this

Rob peeling potatoes (in a special left handed way) yippee he was making tea.
So i got back to sewing
Next up was the giant dog bed, it took a while but i finally cut into my beautiful Amy Butler fabric, i have had this couple of metres since september and nothing was worthy but i decided just to go for it.

Front :)

back, well you cant have enough pretty polkadots huh!

Im pretty proud of my days sewing, I felt a bit bad kinda leaving rob all day on our only day off together so went to 'check' on him

his Wii seemed to be keeping him entertained. (excuse my giant knitting pile thats taking over the living room, note to self must tidy up before ma and pa visit at the weekend eeeekk)
So you impressed? I also have some knitting things to share but i dont want to overload you do I? If you know of any cute housey sewing projects then please point me in the right direction.
Right i best get back to knitting, and im going to try and make friends with crochet again tonight, if i can remember where i put it lol. thanks for stopping by, your comments are soo appreciated so keep them coming. Thanks guys xx

I made a skirt!

I'm not sure if you know but i did actually do a degree in Fashion Design lol, i made 6 full outfits for my final collection and yet im sooo proud of myself for making myself a skirt funny huh!
So i wasnt going to blog, i did blog on the bus this morning but it wouldnt post and as i had a couple of new things to show you i thought why not.
So i mentioned yesterday i was gonna make a 20 minute skirt and it didnt take too much longer, i added a hem and what with all the pressing it took a little longer but still mighty quick.
So here is how it went.

lush fabric its Amy Butler for Rowan which is exciting.

ready?

Ta da! it goes very well with my new pj top dont you think? So its like the easiest thing ever no shaping just a good old stretchy elastic waistband (yes none pregnant people can wear them too). So i literally used a metre of fabric and a bit for the hem. So this can be a really cheap project.

This is the waist band, just elastic not very pretty but does the job (you like my cropping technique there?) I cant find the link to this at the min skirt but i think its in my previous.
So as well as this i knocked this together before bed last night

A bit more of wearable bow, a bit smaller and a bit of a easier colour to wear.
So pretty pleased with my efforts for today, i sadly didnt get everything done on my list yesterday but they can wait im too sleepy lol
Right thats it for now, let me know if you make a skirt and i can have a snoop.
Thanks for stopping by x
