FUN & FLU

First of all Merry Christmas to you all hope you all had a fabulous day.

I went home (to my parents) on the 23rd where i caught up with my mate Ol which is always a giggle, then caught up on some JYC in the evening- yet to be photographed.Also i had some fabulous news from my friend Laura but ill wait till she blog posts about it.

Christmas Eve- was a bit hectic i went 'down the town' and bought a super cute toy for little lola, then headed to my biggest sisters house before we went on to the pub with our friend Tanya all very nice.

SO CHRISTMAS DAY!- i was trying to have a little sleep in at least 8.30 as i hadnt been sleeping coz of the stupid next door neighbours screaming children, thanks god we dont have any of that here.

My dad had been up first to get the turkey in so when i went down the tree was lit



and my presents were sat waiting ......exciting!



After our usual taking it in turns to open presents which takes a while, we were done about 9.30- i got tons of lovely things, next came the usual phonecalls to my granny and my big sis Helen (who had a bad cough)

Anyway they all arrived about 12 as did my rob who had driven up from Leeds that morning hurray!

The whole family- i was keen to get this one for one we are never all together the whole sister living at the other side of the world causes problems and for 2nd we took one last yr but my head was covering my grandads whole head so it wasnt a family photo so am very chuffed to have this

So all in all a great day and i managed to get loads of free songs from amazon so thats very exciting.

Boxing Day- woke up with a bit of a cough which i wasnt impressed with. for the now last 3 years in a row i have been poorly on boxing day not just a little poorly but stupidly poorly.

So we packed everything in the car and i mean packed and drove to Leeds to have XMAS 2 at robs parents wasnt quite so photo crazy but got this one.



really like the angle of this, after lunch we had some games, as the day wore on i felt poorlier and poorlier hot/ cold ick ick ick.

by the time we left i felt shocking.. and so it started and since then i have been poorly, complete and full on flu, i havent even had the energy to unpack my presents :(
not been sleeping very well either so not been very fun.

But its my birthday tomo so im trying to pull myself around which is easier said than done!

so we will see how that goes

Weekend Update

Hi all, are we feeling festive yet? i dont know you, hoping when i go home home this week i will.

Anyway i got catching up JYC on friday night (party animal huh!)

All the way back to the 16th- Grateful, this year i have scrapped about my sister being home from melbourne for xmas

.

17th- i saw this and thought of you, i knew exactly what i wanted to do this year, my dad asked for a a camping pan, how was i supposed to know it was a special type so i just got him a little pan! he found ti highly amusing!



18th-This is all about the Yorkies- my dad makes the best yorkshire puddings ever



19th- Xmas list- i want the whole world ill admit it!



Well thats as caught up as i've got, i have had a visitor this weekend in the shape of my sister here, photos on the other computer but have got a few when my parents came to pick her back up




Also i have received some unexpected gifts this week, first in the shape of some socks, i bought these for my mate for xmas and wanted them so much that my lovely friend heather spotted the yearning in my heart and bought me them, i got to work on friday morning and they were all wrapped up on my desk! cute huh



Another lovely present i got is off my new friend Sj (and designer of my blog)


these are the cutest things ever!

And i dont recall telling her my new desk had a magnet board, but she got me these cute little magnets which keep all my photos up

No not stash!

New blog header and bits designed by the lovely Sj - http://scrappyfairy.blogspot.com/ she is one of my new friends of the year and she has done a great job.

Next excitement is i have been asked to be on the Design Team for Sarahs Cards woo hoo! am muchio excited it was on my new years resolution list this year and happened just before the end of the year. My first assignment will be here this weekend woo hoo!

my little blog got featured in Scrapbook Inspirations, which is very exciting, they said some lovely things about my work so thats all very good making me happy! So welcome if anyone is reading for the first time because of this magazine!

Erm... what else.......



My Sister has come home for christmas, she lives at the other side of the world in Melbourne but it has felt even further this year, this was the last time i saw her last yr. She is coming to leeds for a visit on saturday and sunday and i hope she will play in the take photos of everything game i like to play.... but i fear not, she is most worried about my little lola, not in a loving aunty way but in a can you make it (not her) sleep outside, she is terrified of her! How when shes which a little cutie!



Well blogger is completely playing up and wont let me what scrapping work i have done, trying to keep up with JYC but little behind and its meaning i cant do 'normal' scrapping i officially got to the 18th last yr so i must beat it. looks like a friday night catching up i think... i am a party animal lol

Some Proper Scrapping

Finally i have got round to uploading my layouts from last week, being dark when i go to work and dark when i get in i cant take photos really. And after overloading everyone with the JYC i thought you might like to see some 'proper' scrapping some thats taken longer than say 20 mintues! anyway here are a few i did last weekend


This is a photo of us in Christmas Adventureland- we take tons of photos of both of us so we were trying to shake it up a little here with our posing .... it didnt work lol

This is a Paris photo, been waiting to use this yummy overlay since i bought it in Florida its lovely, used a ton of brads on this


Another Paris pic, funny story so we were a bit late for the train but we literally had got out on the street and i noticed i'd forgotten one glove, so rob gave me his and had one glove all weekend, and it was freezing too, so i thought i would scrap bout it.

Day 11 of JYC we focused on christmas decorations, so i did it on my new florida baubles

Traditions and Wrapping

so day 9- which i did tonight coz i fell asleep at 7pm last night but anyway, this is all about traditions, and i have done it on how the tradition is we go to my family for xmas coz i dont live in the same city as them and cant have t any other way!
Not sure if this a tradition or me being a brat!


Day10- Wrapping, i found this page tough last yr so have done it a little different, and explained how bad a am at wrapping and how my hair gets caught in the cellotape nice!



i swear i'm doing 'normal' scrapping too but them photos are on the other computer and its freezing in there so will do it asap!

5, 6, 7, & 8 JYC

Catch up- i have been doing them and on the right day but havent got round to blogging. I've also done tons of normal layouts but not photographed them so cant put them up yet, and shock horror there is one thats not xmas related at all!!

So day 5-Counting down for Christmas!
This year we are organsied we all have our advent calenders, me, rob and lola, rob has a milky bar one, mine is galaxy and lola has a special one for hamsters. Every night after we have had our tea we have ADVENT OCLOCK me and rob sit and open our calenders and wait for lola to get up so she can have hers, she is only aloud it every other day as there are lots of buttons in her doors and we dont want her to get really fat! like this....




However while i was distracted taking these snaps, she went on a rampage and nearly destroyed her calender ripped the doors off and broken into 2 extra days.








6-The good and the bad- i found this one really hard to do a good xmas and a bad one- i have never had a bad xmas so i did a page on how luck y iam to get to spend xmas with everyone who i want to spend it with.





7- 70%- lists

Again a tough one, i did a page on how im finding it really hard to buy for rob this yr after he bought the whole world in Florida and that he knows 70% of what hes getting, at least there is 30% left huh!



8- Signs

The Victoria Quarter in leeds is fancy to say the least, its tradition now we go to the Leeds light switch on and then head to this tree to take some snaps this photo was taken by my new friend heather and i love it, sepia looks so much better on this photo than colour or black and white did great job matey!

4th December

Day 4- Perfection

i've done a very very simple layout here, as my look varies in size today was a little day, so i stole this photo from the net i'd love love to play in the snow with rob we have never had enough snow to make a snowman or anything.



We had some snow but as work is pretty much uphill it made it hard to get there (on foot) you never know i might get lots on saturday.

3rd December

Today is day 3 of the Journal Your Christmas, today we had to focus on christmas cards, i've done a simple layout on how i bought fancy stamps and tried but find i just want to scrap not make cards.

glad im keeping up even though its only day 3!

Xmas Journal and Disneyland

Happy December Everyone- december is my favourite month i love the run up to xmas, and xmas and my birthday on the 30th, so naturally im doing the Journal Your Christmas i only got back late last night so have caught up today on my day off so Day 1- Manifesto



I've used a photo from disney here and just explaining how ill attempt to do a page a day


Day 2- Weather



Again using my Disney photo, we never get snow coz we live in Leeds City Centre so we had fake snow in disney well in fact its snow made from bubbles but tiny bubbles so it looks like snow. will have to do for now



Disneyland

We had a lovely time was really busy and we were really spoilt in Florida with the 15 min queue that we werent ready for 90 min queues here but we managed everything we wanted ... well most things the nemo one was broke like all the time, and when it wasnt it was 90 min wait . hotel was really nice and food very yummy, havent spend too much got a few more glasses ok 5 if you can see how mnay disney glasses we have its impressed, and got some more little plates to match out big plates, and general stuff like pens, more xmas decorations etc.
Really enjoyed Tower of Terror here didnt like it as much in Florida for some reason, and i loved Thunder Mountain which is weird coz we didnt think too much to that in Florida funny how they differ. It was blooming cold lots of layers, not sure i took my hat off for like 3 days but had a great time and a excellent way to start the festive season, so photos i guess!

So now for photos only took about 200 which is good for us so here are some of the best
