5 Days

I cant believe that i am expected to work for a whole 5 days next week lol, its the first 5 for a while what with all the bank holidays but one thing that will keep me going is that after those 5 days, we are going on holiday. Its been very last minute but we are going to my sisters apartment in Spain yay!

We realy didnt think we would be able to get away this year and having not been away last year due to saving for the house we assume it would be the same for this year with saving for the wedding, but a couple of cheap flights and a generous sister later and we are off.

Now my sisters apartment is on a complex but you have to drive to get anywhere, the beach, the town etc So we are planning on pretty much not moving for the whole time we are away.
This is going to be a hugely different holiday to our last 2 which were both in Florida and we are a little bit sad not to be going there but this is all about relaxing, catching up on us time.

We are going to sit by the pool in the day time, I have ordered tons of books from the library to read
like this one

this one

and this one

Nothing like a bit of good chick lit.

So that is my day plans and the night, i am planning on lots of knitting time, there is a BBQ that overlooks the pool so when we arent eating out we will be sat on the balcony.

I have complete unrealistic expectations of the amount i am going to knit, i also realise that by taking 100s of projects i could only ever get a tiny bit done on each where as if i took tow for example i could get a good chunk done on each, however i get bored easily so this is what im planning on starting/taking!

I am trying to use some the yarn i already have so here goes.

I had 3 of the lovely Louisa Harding yarn that i got in the baa ram ewe sale a few months back, so i asked my good friends on Twitter what i should make and the lovely Heather came up with this lovely scarf type shawl so i shall be using this yarn.

I tend to write the needle size on the label for what i am making, so there you go first light weight project.

Next is these mittens these have been on my list for ages

There was a pair hanging up in baa ram ewe for ages and i was like they are cute, so when the sale came along and the one ball of wool you need to knit them was in the sale i thought why not.

I shall be using this

This is all very fancy wool for me, i really tend not to use fancy wool but still exciting, and light weight project number two.

Now this one it a bit of a big one and i have read over the pattern and im kinda stuck already so i might have to start this before i leave as we wont have any internet access over there.

This is a cardi i had spotted a while ago and then forgot about, its cute right? but you start like this With larger needle, CO 133 (141, 141, 141, 141, 141, 141, 141, 141) sts. Next row, set up pattern: (WS) Work 3 sts in I-cord edging, p28 (30, 31, 31, 31, 32, 32, 32, 32), place marker (pm), p17 (17, 15, 15, 15, 13, 13, 13, 13), pm, p37 (41, 43, 43, 43, 45, 45, 45, 45), pm, p17 (17, 15, 15, 15, 13, 13, 13, 13), pm, purl to last 3 sts, work I-cord edging.
Help!

I also have a couple of pairs of socks on the go that i will take, I currently have tons of projects on the go and im kinda crazy to add another 3 but all my currents are big!

example one

Big hot jumper

Big hot cardi, thats nearly there yay!

Hot blanket that involves lots of balls of wool.

So you see i had to start some other things right?

Right thats all from me, im gonna go and catch up a bit of some Rachel type tv before Rob gets in from work.

I hope the next 5 days go quickly for everyone lol but especially me lol

Thanks for stopping by

Rach x

p.s it took me most of yesterday to pick these items to knit lol

Wow, you have a lot to do. I would love to sit and knit in Spain. :) I have made the Goodale and once you start it's really simple. Pretty much stockinette with some shaping. I hope you chose to make that one. :)
