Alfred the Owl

So who wants to meet Alfred? i got him finished yesterday after a minor mishap of sewing his face on his back, but he is done and looks pretty cute if i do say so myself
Hee hee i'm quite chuffed with him, and my little photo scene, the pattern is available over on ravelry he is called

Tooley Owl pdf knitting pattern for beginners from fluff and fuzz this is a very easy basic project and perfect for a beginner.

So you also might have noticed that Alfred is sat on something rather lovely, no not the mushroom although it is very lovely. Myself and Robs Mum got started on a proper house project for the new house, here are the different stages
Grotty old Ottoman that we have had for at least 20 years (there is a sticker in it that says 1st august 1990), take some lush Cosmo Cricket Early Bird fabric, i got mine from The Big Fat Quarter Shop, and a heavy duty staple gun and go.
It even has a lovely cord bottom, i just need some little feet for it now, and the finished article Ta Daaaaa
We are trying not to use it in this house so its sat in my scrap room at the min, its normally in the hall full of shoes but im not sure i dare but shoes in it now its so pretty, so we have moved all our shoes in a huge bag upstairs and now have 2 pairs each in the hall.
but im really chuffed with it, huge thanks to Linda who helped me.

Ok im prob a wee bit late for work now, hope your monday its terrible lol
rach xx

Love the owl.

And how ace is the ottoman? Seriously think I need something like this for my living room (although I'm thinking it would be brilliant wool storage as Mark hates me leaving my craft stuff on display!).

Thanks for the inspiration. XXX
